You can never find a decent babysitter when you need one. That the problem facing Cindy and Bob Russell when they have a family emergency out of town and can't take their three children. Truly desperate, they are forced to rely on big, crude, Uncle Buck (John Candy), the black sheep of the family. Buck is not very good with children, or anything else for that matter. The two young ones, Maizy and Miles (Gaby Hoffman, Macaulay Culkin) aren't difficult, but Tia (Jean Louisa Kelly) is trouble. She's a teenager who thinks she's an adult. She's rebellious, resents Uncle Buck, and has a boyfriend that's up to no good. Further complicating matters is Buck's girlfriend Chanice (Amy Madigan). Uncle Buck really has his hands full.
