You can never find a decent babysitter when you need one. That the problem facing Cindy and Bob Russell when they have a family emergency out of town and can't take their three children. Truly desperate, they are forced to rely on big, crude, Uncle Buck (
John Candy), the black sheep of the family. Buck is not very good with children, or anything else for that matter. The two young ones, Maizy and Miles (
Gaby Hoffman, Macaulay Culkin) aren't difficult, but Tia (
Jean Louisa Kelly) is trouble. She's a teenager who thinks she's an adult. She's rebellious, resents Uncle Buck, and has a boyfriend that's up to no good. Further complicating matters is Buck's girlfriend Chanice (
Amy Madigan). Uncle Buck really has his hands full.
